An EU-funded Programme that is working in the fields of capacity building and governance in Jordan is seeking candidates for the following positions:
Project Officer
Under the close supervision of the Programmes’ Coordinator, the incumbent will assist in:
- Preparing the Programmes’ estimates and progress reports.
- Preparing technical assistance projects, including their required documents (ToRs, twinning fiches, etc.).
- Following up on the implementation of programmes in coordination with relevant beneficiaries and the EU Delegation in Amman
- Reviewing and providing feedback on technical and financial progress reports.
- Participating actively in Projects’ Steering Committees meetings and any other meeting as required.
- Facilitating relevant monitoring and evaluation missions.
- Establishing and maintaining effective communication channels with projects’ stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications:
- University degree.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience.
- Working experience with EU-funded projects is an asset.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
- Excellent communications skills.
SIGMA & TAIEX Officer
Under the close supervision of the Programme Advisor, the incumbent will assist in:
- Developing an indicative plan for possible Technical Assistance and Information Exchange (TAIEX) interventions.
- Advising possible TAIEX beneficiaries and reviewing applications submitted by candidate institutions.
- Coordinating and following up on the implementation of TAIEX activities.
- Organizing awareness workshops and meetings on TAIEX tool.
- Providing feedback on TAIEX implemented activities.
- Following up on Association Subcommittees conclusions for possible TAIEX interventions.
- Identifying areas and beneficiaries for Sigma’s (Support for Improvement in Governance and Management) interventions.
- Revising and finalizing Sigma’s national Action Plan for Jordan.
- Coordinating and facilitating Sigma’s experts missions and follow up on the implementation of the Action Plan.
- Reviewing experts’ missions’ reports.
- Establishing and maintaining effective communication channels with relevant stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications:
- University degree.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience.
- Working experience with EU-funded projects is an asset.
- Excellent command of English.
- Excellent computer skills.
Accountant
Under the close supervision of the Coordinator of Finance and Contracts, the incumbent will assist in:
- Preparing and following up on all journal vouchers and the payment vouchers.
- Undertaking regular bank reconciliations.
- Executing monthly compensations (Salaries, Health Insurance, Social Security, Income Tax, etc.)
- Encoding all financial transactions in the Programmes Administration Office electronic accounting system.
- Handling the petty cash account.
- Undertaking assets management.
- Preparing for the regular external audit missions.
- Developing ad-hoc financial reports.
- Running procurement process and contract preparations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- University degree in Accounting, Management, or related subject.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience.
- Familiar with accounting softwares.
- Experience in EU financial and procurement rules and procedures are an asset.
