Monthly Salary JD 1028 & 900 Fils. Plus SOA 50.82 % of basic salary. Other benefits include Provident Fund contribution (15% of basic salary paid by the Agency), medical insurance and 30 days of annual leave. Dependency benefits are subject to eligibility.

The incumbent is responsible to the Head, Field ICT Office.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
·         Manages and implements the Field Infrastructure Services operations in terms of planning, developing, deploying, monitoring, maintaining, operating and documenting adequate and reliable ICT Field Infrastructure services, in line with established Agency Infrastructure strategy, plans, policies, procedures and standards, for the provision of:
Field data centre hosting operations, including Field non-enterprise applications hosting services, network management services, e-mail services, database management, access management, ICT security services and information production services;
Network and Field telecommunications operations covering data, voice and video services by utilizing LAN, WAN, PABX, Internet and satellite services;
·         Coordinates and organizes deployment and management of Field Infrastructure services, in close coordination with HQA Infrastructure Services Section, in terms of established standards, policies, instructions and guidelines covering:
Acquisition, use, maintenance, upgrade, and disposal of Infrastructure services, systems, equipment, and connectivity;
ICT security, backup and access management;
E-mail and unified communications systems management.
·         Manages assigned infrastructure unit staff and operations;  provides technical guidance, instructions, training, support and documentation for infrastructure unit staff and ensures that Field infrastructure services needs are fulfilled; plans for and reports on projected capacity requirements;
·         Manages Field infrastructure hardware and software delivery, installation and maintenance activities with concerned departments; administers relevant infrastructure service contracts preparation and management; prepares survey reports for obsolete or surplus infrastructure ICT equipment and supplies;
·         Develops, enforces, monitors and documents established ICT security procedures and standards in relation to voice and data transmission security, information access control, equipment physical security and facilities access security; participates in security incidents management, security assessments, and vulnerability testing;
·         Coordinates preparation of Requests for Purchase for infrastructure hardware and software; co-ordinates with Procurement and Logistics Office on related procurement activities;
·         Participates in Enterprise Infrastructure design and manages Infrastructure Field implementation activities for new enterprise ICT systems and services rollout in the Field;
·         Participates in the Field ICT Change Management and Disaster Recovery Planning activities;
·         Participates in Field ICT Office budget preparation and provides necessary inputs to Field Infrastructure budget requirements;
·         Prepares management reports on infrastructure services metrics and equipment inventories;
·         Performs such other duties as may be assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
·         A university degree in computer science, information technology, electrical or computer engineering or other related discipline;
·         ITIL service management certification preferably at practitioner level.
·         Six years of experience delivering ICT infrastructure services in a large ICT environment, including two years in a supervisory position managing and implementing ICT infrastructure services;
·         Practical experience and solid knowledge of a variety of ICT technologies in various infrastructure domains including network management and corporate e-mail systems, specifically with MS server technology, MS Exchange, MS SharePoint, CISCO networking products and the application and integration of firewalls, QoS, encryption and compression over WAN links.
·         Very good command of written and spoken English and Arabic.

Desirable Qualifications:
·         Advanced degree in an IT related discipline;
·         Project Management training preferably with practitioner certification;
·         Certification in IT related disciplines and products (MS, CISCO, etc.);
·         Knowledge of UNRWA’s operations and computer facilities environment.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
·         The incumbent may be required to travel in Agency’s area of operations;
·         The incumbent may be required to work beyond the normal duty hours and on call basis.
Equivalency
When the minimum requirements are not fully met, Field Director for Field Area staff and Director of Human Resources for Headquarters Area staff, in consultation with the concerned supervisor may exceptionally substitute part of the unmet requirements with a combination of relevant academic qualifications, additional professional training and progressive relevant work experience.
NB: Work experience alone or formal qualifications with no relevant work experience are not considered an acceptable combination.
