Shelter Assistant-Reception Area “Nationals Only”

The distribution assistant will be responsible for facilitating NRC distribution activities in the camp which include the entry of assistance data and the physical distribution of assistance to beneficiaries. The candidates should have good communication skills and able to perform well under pressure.
1.  Roles and Responsibilities
Generic responsibilities
  • Adheres to NRC policies CC tools, handbooks and guidelines.
  • Provides administrative support to beneficiaries and/or NRC staff.
  • Develops own weekly activity planning with direct supervisor.
  • Reports protection concerns to line manager (s).
  • Serves as a link between NRC programs and local community. Shares and collects information.
  • Files project documents in a central location and make sure the records are accurate and available to NRC staff.
Specific responsibilities
  • Prepare and submit daily report to relevant reception area stakeholders as assigned by the project officer
  • Daily supervision of beneficiaries staying at the reception area as advised by the project officer
  • Daily supervision of incentive laborers as requested by the project officer
  • Direct management of RA stock and distribution processes as assigned by the project officer
  • Input information related to referrals in tracking database
  • Flag any cases requiring following up with reception area partners to the project officer
  • Facilitate access refugees staying for extended period of time in the reception area to basic services as advised by the project officer.

  • Qualification requirement: Vocational/Tawjihi degree or equivalent
  • Years of Experience: 1
  • 1-year Experience working with shelter projects in a humanitarian/recovery context.
  • Advanced proficiency in computer skills.
