Data Entry Assistant

JOB TITLE: Data Entry assistant
TEAM/PROGRAMME: WFP
GRADE: 6 
LOCATION: Amman
POST TYPE: National
CHILD SAFEGUARDING: Level 2 – the responsibilities of the post may require the post holder to have limited contact with or access to children or young people.
ROLE PURPOSE: 
Enter quantitative and qualitative data from questionnaires and evaluation forms collected from program activities, and maintain electronic records of field data for reporting.
SCOPE OF ROLE: 
Reports to: data base assistant 
Country Dimensions: Save the Children works in all 12 Governorates in Jordan with a current staff complement of approximately 50 staff and current expenditure of approximately $4 million each year.

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
Support the delivery of effective Programmes, in both development and humanitarian contexts, by:
·         Enter data and maintain database that tracks beneficiaries, update based on data collected from outreach team.
·         Expert in excel sheet and have sufficient knowledge in excel function.
·         Issue all related reports such as distribution reports, narrative reports
·         Develop DB and filing system.
·         Support the field staff in all activities if needed.
·         Keeps track of source documents received and maintains hard copy files.
·         Follow up with field staff to collect data, provide lists, forms, prepare source documents.
·         Identify and interpret data through process of data cleaning and checking for accuracy.
·         Keep and make available participants records per program and region in excel sheets when required as indicators.
·         Perform administrative duties including copying and packing evaluation forms, filing and storing analyze forms, assist in preparing workshop portfolios, word processing.
·         Any other tasks assigned from the line manager related to the Project.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Essential:
·         High school diploma
·         Preferably with practical experience in a similar position
·         Computer skills with proficiency in Excel, Word, and Access
