Logistics and Warehousing Manager
Job Description and Requirements
Creates policies or procedures for logistics activities.
Direct inbound or outbound logistics operations, such as transportation or warehouse activities, safety performance, or logistics quality management.
Analyzes the financial impact of proposed logistics changes, such as routing, shipping modes, product volumes, mixes, or carriers.
Identifies and manage risk within the logistics activities.
Establishes key performance indicators, monitor ongoing performance, and improve performance against set goals.
Manages the shipping, clearance and customs process.
Monitors the quality, quantity, cost and efficiency of the movement and storage of goods.
Analyzes data to monitor performance and plan improvements and cost reductions.
Liaises and coordinates with staff and service providers.
Analyzes logistical problems and develops new solutions.
Manages the exemption and releases of shipments.
Maintains health and safety standards
Identify all areas of improvement and maximize productivity
Continuous monitoring of stock inventory levels in relation to warehouse space and future space requirements.
Ensures compliance with all government guidelines and regulations specific to mode and direction of related shipments.
Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation and customer services.
Direct, optimize and coordinate full order cycle.
Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency.
Arrange warehouse, catalog goods, plan routes and process shipments.
Resolve any arising problems or complaints.
Supervise, coach and train warehouse workforce.
