Job description
The main duties & responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:-
- Building on existing practices, establish and maintain strong M&E systems and practices that complies with AHSF strategies, guidelines and standards.
- Lead the development and implementation of an M&E processes and procedures in collaboration with all departments.
- Lead the development of commonly agreed Key Performance Indicators KPIs and targets for AHSF on both institutional and programs levels as well as monitoring them to measure progress.
- Lead data management including developing data collection tools such as surveys, observationforms, focus group, guidelines, workshop, feedback forms…..etc.
- Ensure that all M&E activities are carried out with high accountability and integrity and that all deadlines and targets are met.
- Participate in the development of project documents and in the design of new projects strategic objectives.
- Lead data analysis and development of data analysis forms.
- Identify challenges facing implementation and provide suggestions for improvement to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in implementation.
- Plan and perform site visits for M&E unit to validate data collected from random samples and ensure accuracy of reported data.
- Prepare progress reports and prepare presentation to express AHSF progress as need.
- Lead internal program/project research and evaluations as necessary and ensure the execution of baseline & lead impact assessment study when needed.
- Support effective communication and dissemination of main findings, key messages and lessons learnt to reflect AHSF progress.
- Work with projects managers & teams to define the quality of outcome/impact evidence that will be needed from their programs/projects and defining appropriate points in time evaluations for integration into comprehensive M&E plans for programs and projects.
- Conduct data quality assessments to determine the validity, reliability and integrity of performance data gathered to monitor program performance.
Required qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Social Science, Statistics, Management or any related field.
- Approximately 10-12 years’ experience in monitoring and evaluation of programs
- NGO experience and site visits are required.
- Excellent experience in qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis
- Proficient in Microsoft Office particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
- Strong program/technical and budget management skills, planning, reporting, monitoring and evaluation skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, effective in representation and liaison with external & internal parties.
- Familiarity with impact assessment.
- Advanced skills in data analysis presentation and report writing
- Excellent analytical skills combined with a proactive, energetic approach to problem solving
