A national NGO is looking for a Social Media Officer
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Build and execute communication and social media strategies by applying latest trends and best practices.
Manage communication channels with supporters and interested parties, building relationships with organization’ staff, supporters, donors and volunteers.
Develop and expand community outreach efforts.
Monitor trends in Social Media tools, applications, channels, design and strategy.
Become an advocate for the organization in Social Media channels, engaging in dialogues and answering questions where appropriate.
Set up and optimize organization pages within each platform to increase the visibility and publicity of organization
Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information
Collaborate with other departments to manage reputation, identify key players and coordinate actions
Provide detailed communications plans for each target audience (internal and external) and prepare weekly and monthly progress reports.
Help in the implementation of the internal communications strategy to provide effective communication of relevant organization information to the internal staff
Write and editÂ various publications and materials (both print and online), including , press releases, magazines, Â quarter and annual reports, newsletters, ads …etc
Coordinate with external media agencies to arrange for any events’ coverage, conferences, interviews…etc.
Manage website content
Bachelor’s degree in business or any related field
2 years min in a similar field
