The French section of Médecins Sans Frontières

is recruiting for its project in Amman.

• Responsible for his vehicle and the passengers’ security at all times; respects the Highway Code; adjusts speed         according to the state of the road, state of weather conditions and status of the cars and load carried; ensures number of people can be officially carried in the vehicle, and helps patients being transported to get access into or out of the vehicle if needed.
• Responsible for security decisions regarding his vehicle.
• Keeps the vehicle’s logbook up to date, noting any problems and incidents and filling out the fuel log book  correctly, carries out daily and weekly checks, and is able to justify his fuel consumption at all times.
• Maintains his vehicle in good order (internal and external cleaning) and daily (or according the needs) checks that his equipment is in good working order (spare wheel, jack, straps, ropes, tools, etc.) and carries out weekly physical inventory of the equipment in his vehicle.
• Is responsible for the load he transports and he is also responsible to load and unload it and helps the procedure
• Able to change the tyres in case of need and perform a basic check and maintenance of the car
• Does other additional activities upon request

• Possessing a valid driver license type 5 (mandatory)
• At least two years relevant and proved experience as a Driver with an international organization (preferable)
• Excellent knowledge in driving practice & places within Jordan (preferable)
• Good knowledge of mechanics (mandatory)
• Able to work under pressure, calm, patient (mandatory)
• Flexibility (mandatory)
• Good Driving skills (mandatory)
• Knowledge of driving rules and procedures in Jordan (mandatory)
• English speaking at beginner level (mandatory)
