1-  Livelihoods Officer – Information Management “Nationals Only” – Re – Advertised
Role Specific Information
The Livelihoods project team is hiring an information management officer to support with the data management and labourer payment requirements for the GIZ Cash for Work project being carried out by NRC. This position will involve field work, and travel between the various project sites, in order to gather data and develop required reports, as well as manage payment of the CfW labourers involved in the project.
Generic responsibilities:
  • Ensure adherence with NRC policies, tools, handbooks and guidelines.
  • Implement delegated Core Competency project portfolio according to plan of action.
  • Prepare and develop status reports as required by management.
  • Ensure proper filing of documents.
  • Ensure that projects target beneficiaries most in need, and explore and asses new and better ways to assist.
  • Promote and share ideas for technical improvement.
  • Actively promote PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) standards & principles within NRC and amongst beneficiaries served by NRC.
Specific responsibilities:
  • Compiling data related to labourer attendance, turnover, payment, and working duration
  • Fulfill reporting requirements set out by the project partner
  • Deliver regular internal updates on key indicators, progress, and forecasting
  • Coordinate with project management to ensure accurate and relevant data is collected, and that it is being effectively reported on
  • Train relevant project staff on data collection from each of the project sites
  • Liaise with M&E to ensure correct indicators are being collected
  • Establish and oversee the effective payment of project labourers

Our ideal candidate holds a College/diploma degree equivalent . Have very good experience with Information Management and Data Management, detail oriented, in addition to good reporting and analytical skills. We are looking for someone that will be able to handle high workload with minimum supervision.

The Technical Assistant position within NRC’s Information, Counseling and Legal Assistance (ICLA)
programme is a challenging humanitarian position responsible for direct provision of information and
counseling to Syrian refugees and vulnerable Jordanians on various topics including legal and civil
documentation, housing, land and property rights and work rights both in field outreach and in NRC’s
legal clinics.

 

Generic responsibilities:
  • Adhere to NRC policies, tools, handbooks and guidelines.
  • Assist a range of support with the implementation of the Core Competency portfolio
    according to plan of action.
  • Implements independently procedures and activities within own function or core
    competency as delegated.
  • Responsible for organizing and delivery of tasks in line with priorities and standards.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of the specialist area of work in which technical assistance
    and support is being provided, in order to be most effective in supporting the team.
  • Use initiative in day to day problem solving in line with agreed procedures, priorities and
    standards for the area of work.
  • Prepare and develop status reports as required by management.
  • Ensure proper filing of documents.
  • Promote and share ideas for improvement in your area of expertise.

  • Stays updated regarding the internal procedures and thematic guidelines
  • Delivers legal awareness sessions (LAS) and individual counselling to NRC Syrian and Jordanian beneficiaries on various topics including legal and civil documentation, housing, land and property rights and work rights
  • Prepares and supports legal assistance to NRC beneficiaries;
  • Ensures protection mainstreaming in field activities, including identification of cases for
    protection referrals
  • Undertakes day-to-day data collection and data entry related to field activities and
    participates in field mapping exercises.
  • Participates in the proactive supervision of ICLA volunteers
Our Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for a good candidate with a minimum of one year previous experience in relevant field.  Experience working in complex and volatile contexts, experience from working within technical expertise area in a humanitarian/ recovery context. Knowledge and experience within a relevant administration, craft or technical field and ideally a relevant vocational qualification. Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities. Knowledge of the displacement context in Jordan and to have basic knowledge about data management and computer skills. Native fluency in Arabic and intermediate fluency in English
