give you the opportunity to assist UNRWA’s refugee registration processes and systems and
contribute to ensure the accuracy of refugee registration data.
The main responsibilities include:
 Assisting the Head of Refugee Registration and Eligibility Services in verifying and
reporting refugee status for Palestine refugees upon requests from UNRWA offices in or
outside area of operations, other UN offices and governmental immigration departments;
 Carrying out control procedures on RRIS electronic family files to ensure the relevant
documents of related refugees are stored correctly and alert respective fields on
discrepancies;
 Tracking, following-up and documenting petitions of registered refugees residing in or
outside UNRWA area of operations in accordance with the Agency rules and regulations
and in coordination with the respective Field Office;
 Producing hard copies of the quarterly statistical bulletin and distributing them to all
internal and external stakeholders;
 Compiling and maintaining physical records (hard copies) of all verification and petition
cases related to registration issues and preparing timely reports and statistics
accordingly;
 Maintaining and acting as a custodian of the RSSD registry and other documents and
non-book material;
 Providing administrative support to RSSD staff, including receipt and distribution of mail
and pouch and following up on maintenance of the department photocopier and paper
stationary supply;
Conditions of service
Option One: Fixed Term Appointment, Grade 11
Monthly basic salary JD 640.10. Other benefits include monthly Provident Fund contribution
(15% of basic salary paid by the Agency), compulsory medical insurance, 30 days of annual
leave, and dependency allowance (if applicable).
Option Two: Limited Duration Contract (LDC- Band D)
Monthly basic salary JD 649.20 depending on the professional knowledge and experience.
Other benefits include compulsory medical insurance, 30 days of annual leave pre-rated to the
duration of the contract where less than one year, and family allowance (if applicable).
To qualify for this position, you will need:
Education Successful completion of full secondary education and two year diploma in
business administration, office management or other related discipline

 Planning, developing and managing all procurement and contractual aspects of projects for
