We at OpenSooq are looking to hire an Accountant to join our finance team in Amman.
Your responsibilities are:
– Record of expenses and sales revenue journal entries
– Prepare bank reconciliations
– Prepare some ad hoc financial reports (budget, financial statements, internal managerial reports, etc) when needed
– Review the journal entries
– Help in preparing or reviewing the policies and procedures
– Support in monthly, quarterly and yearly closing
– Take initiatives in improving accounting operations, processes or systems
– Help in preparing payroll and ensure payments are prepared and executed on a timely base
- Any other duties as requested
The profile we are looking for:
– Experience of 1 to 2 years in the field of accounting
– Excellent cash flow handling skills
– Very good communication skills
– Strong organisational skills and team player
– Strong customer focused
– Knowledge using QuickBooks or any other accounting tools
– Good Arabic and English communication skills
