Job Description

A Maintenance Engineer is responsible for performing standard engineering assignments to solve problems and conduct operational studies and research to optimise the production/maintenance process and manage the cost of the operations.

Responsibilities: 

• Following all relevant Operations and Maintenance policies, processes and standard operating procedures so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner
• Implementing the day-to-day operations assigned for the Operations and Maintenance to ensure compliance with the established standards and procedures
• Leading and directing the Technicians or Operations teams within the shift to comply with the directions of the Engineering team
• Monitoring system performance and function after accomplishment of any recommended modification, maintenance task or significant event and special assignment
• Monitoring all maintenance faults, malfunctions, defects, deferred defects and other occurrences which could affect the continuing operations
• Analyzing components’ durability and failure trends and prepares preventive maintenance plans. Additionally, analyzing process and requirements and prepares operation plans
• Providing technical guidance, coaching and support for Technical or Operation teams to ensure individuals are equipped with the necessary skills
• Monitoring the operating conditions, identifying and responding appropriately to problems, allocating or escalating them as necessary and monitoring and recording their rectification
• Ensuring compliance of operations under own supervision with the industry standards and requirements or regulating authorities
• Training subordinates to ensure that all work within a specific area of the Operations and Maintenance unit activity is carried out in an efficient manner
• Complying with all relevant safety, quality, health and environmental procedures to ensure a healthy and safe work environment
