1- ICLA Team Leader – Amman – Re-advertised
The Team Leader at NRC’s Information, Counselling and Legal Assistance (ICLA) programme manages, supervises and supports a dynamic team of field staff that provide Syrian and Jordanian beneficiaries with information, counselling and legal assistance services on various topics (including legal and civil documentation, housing, land and property rights and work rights) during outreach and at NRC offices.
Generic responsibilities:
  • Management of project staff
  • Implement plan of action for delegated portfolio of support function’s projects (activities, budget and project documentation).
  • Day to day follow of progress in project implementation.
  • Ensure adherence and compliance with NRC policies, support function tools, handbooks and guidelines.
  • Ensure that projects target beneficiaries most in need, and explore and asses new and better ways to assist.
  • Promote and share ideas for technical improvement.
  • Prepare periodic progress reports and other documents.
  • Ensure capacity building of project staff and transfer of key skills.
  • Liaison and collaborate with relevant local authorities and stakeholders.
  • Promote the rights of internally displaced/returnees In line with the advocacy strategy.
  • Actively promote PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) standards & principles within NRC and amongst beneficiaries served by NRC.
    Specific responsibilities
  • Designs the team’s information and counselling activities, sets work plans in line with targets and oversees the quality of provided services.
  • Supervises the implementation of ICLA programme guidelines and procedures in line with the strategy.
  • Builds the capacity of team members and provides ongoing case work support, including through the development of dedicated work tools and IEC materials.
  • Coordinates the team’s activities internally within NRC and externally with local communities, stakeholders and partners.
  • Oversees the team’s referral activities.
  • Produces periodic quantitative and qualitative reports on operational issues and field trends.
Our Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor degree, with minimum 3 years of experience. Knowledge and experience related to counselling and/or paralegal, empowerment, protection programming. Experience in case work/ case management, Good written and spoken English, Previous NGO work experience, Knowledge about own management and leadership skills and profile, Basic knowledge about data management, Knowledge of the displacement context in Jordan.

2-  JIF Partnership and Liaison Coordinator

JIF is seeking a highly motivated Partnership and Liaison Coordinator (PC)  join the JIF secretariat and contribute to the implementation of our partnership strategy  Overall objective: As part of JIF role within the transition phase in Jordan, the PC will support the Secretariat and JIF members to concretely implement the “localization” agenda and to enhance our partnership capacities with both local CSOs and the Government of Jordan.
Generic responsibilities:
  • Adherence to NRC policies, guidance and procedures.
  • Implement NRC’s systems and procedures at area level.
  • Ensure adherence to NRC policies, handbooks, guidelines and donor requirements.
  • Prepare and submit reports and analysis.
  • Ensure proper filing of all support documents.
  • Support line managers in procedures and require support team trainings.
  • Management of support team.  Ensure development and implementation of administrative systems and procedures.
  • Actively promote PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) standards & principles within NRC and amongst beneficiaries served by NRC.
Specific responsibilities
  • Institutional Partnership.
  • Develop systems, and capture lessons learned to ensure adequate collaboration with different levels of the GoJ.
  • Maintain positive working relations with MoI, MoPIC, MoSD, MoIT and any other relevant ministry.
  • Keep abreast of developments regarding the GoJ’s stand points and policies and regularly brief JIF Management on changes and impacts on JIF’s members.
  • Act as a focal point between JIF members and different ministries to facilitate their work and contribute to the improvement of the administrative operational space.
  • Make sure all JORISS rules and regulations are known by different INGO members and advise members on the project approval process.
  • Partnership with local civic organisations.
  • Develop and maintain a mapping of national NGO networks and coordination structures in Jordan, as well as key national NGOs within the humanitarian response.
  • With the support of the JIF Coordinator, engage fruitful dialogue with selected local CBOs to strengthen the relationship with JIF members and ensure a stronger local voice is reflected in the Jordan humanitarian eco-system.
Our Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor’s Degree. Knowledge of Jordanian legislation and policies related to INGO and local CBOs work in the country. Good knowledge of governance and administrative structures within Jordan, experience from working inside a governmental structure would be appreciated. Minimum 5 years of experience liaising with government of Jordan and/or working and supporting with local CBOs. Familiarity with the JRP process, project application, JORISS system and reporting to line ministries. Able to effectively communicate in meetings, with good presentation and negotiation skills. Context related skills, knowledge and experience. Knowledge of the context in Jordan. Knowledge of JIF structure and mandate. Experience interacting with INGOs, local NGOs, coordination forums or working groups.

3-  Grants Officer – Information Management “Nationals Only”
Role Specific Information

The Grants and Information Management Officer will contribute to achieving quality and effective grants management systems by closely supporting the Grants manager and Grants Coordinator with maintaining and constantly upgrading NRC Jordan’s internal grants management systems and tools. S/he ensures NRC programme/support teams, as well as external stakeholders (e.g. auditors), have access to up-to-date grants-related files and information in soft and hard copies. S/he is the focal point for maintaining NRC’s grants management software (Cycles) and for information management of NRC’s Jordan Filing Tree and OneDrive Groups. The Grants and Information Management Officer will also be the focal point for maintaining up-to-date CBO/Implementing Partners records in relation to assessments and agreements and for tracking new and existing partnerships. Last, but not least, the Grants and Information Management Officer supports report and proposal submissions and donor visits as needed. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, able to work under tight deadlines, and able to quickly understand and elaborate information from multiple sources. Substantive Information management knowledge required.

  • Ensure all key grant documents are available in soft and hard copies by maintaining a high quality information management/filing system and updating NRCs grants management system (Cycles) on a daily basis.
  • Support NRC Jordan country-wide Information Management system by checking that all departments are effectively using OneDrive to store and share information as required, by providing a technical help-desk for internal staff, and by quality checking the data saved.
  • Coordinate with Technical Data Officers across all programmes and the Finance team to ensure data are properly uploaded onto Activity Info/Financial Tracking System (FTS) at planning and monitoring stage. Maintain record of data transferred to the system.
  • Support the Grants Coordinator and Grants Manager with the submission of reports and proposals to donors as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of all CBO-related files (assessments and agreements) and tracking system in compliance with NRC Jordan CBO Guidance Note and supporting NRCs Partnership Unit as needed.
  • Update and maintain NRC Jordan External contact list, coordination table and external visits calendar.
  • Support the Grants Manager and Head of Programme with the organisation of donors visits and other external events as required.
  • Maintain Donor Information up to date across internal files and donor mapping systems.
Our Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for a university graduate in Political or Social Sciences or any other relevant field an advantage with a minimum of two years previous experience in relevant field. Experience working in complex and volatile contexts. Experience from working within technical expertise area in a humanitarian/ recovery context. Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience with NGOs, charities, humanitarian work or similar organisations. Substantive Information Management knowledge. Data visualization/Graphic design skills an advantage. Proficient in MS Office application including Excel and Word and to be Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
