There are both continuing and fixed term contracts available. You will be expected to do some shift work depending on rota (40 hours per week all roles).

Role ResponsibilityYour role is to operate audio studio equipment effectively and in adherence with Safety Regulations. You will operate playout and production-based systems as well as recording, editing, mixing and replaying material. We expect you to take responsibility and offer advice on the technical quality, aural balance and audibility of programme material. You will identify and resolve technical issues in broadcast-critical systems.

You must have the ability to operate and perform in other basic broadcast operations; examples being:

• • Vision mixing
  • Sound mixing
  • Lighting and vision
  • Technical co-ordination
  • Camera operations
  • Floor management

Are you the right candidate?The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience as a Technical Operator from working in a live broadcast environment. Radio Operations experience would be a distinct advantage. Fluency in Arabic (written and spoken) and a good command of English is essential. You will have first class technical skills in at least one of the areas listed above in the responsibilities section. You will be able to work quickly, accurately and under pressure. You will have an understanding of editorial issues and news priorities.
