1. Job purpose

Responsible for planning network by analyzing network behavior and accountable for provide inputs into the design of capacity and load planning according to commercial/business requirements, to enhance network coverage, customer perception and network business strategy.

3.The job entails exposure to:

Perform link budget analysis, understand and utilize design criteria including coverage and traffic analysis for different technologies GSM, UMTS, Wimax and LTE.

Ensure data integrity of various morphology/topography databases and drive testing data for model tuning and calibration

Coverage prediction using RF Planning Tool. Determine antenna type, height & EIRP.

Radio & network design

Perform nominal and detailed RF design, including site selection and site acquisition support

Create site data-fills to support site integration

Perform efficient frequency/scrambling code planning, HSN, BSIC and neighboring list to minimize interference.

Perform capacity planning and determine site configurations and perform indoor sites survey and RF design.

Responsible for input into the development contingency plans to mitigate risks/issues as the network expands and the business grows.

Analyze and recommend equipment and antenna co-location requirements for different technologies

Analyzing RNC/BSC/LAC/TAC/TAL and implement required action for improving KPIs (Paging and location update Success rate).

Plan for new sites, expansion sites, network phases and new network projects

Ensuring Maximize use of existing resources (Network Utilization, Upgrade and TRX reshuffling…)

Perform technical site survey

Perform site build verification and acceptance

DT Log files analyzing for finding the reason of Poor coverage, inappropriate HO failure and call drop.

Regulations and standards follow-up

Ensure compliance with all applicable policies & regulatory requirements (TRC)

Application sheets

Prepare new sites/equipment applications according to regulatory requirements

Projects follow-up

Prepare follow-up reports for projects progress and milestones

Ensure all design parameters and BoQ is implemented according to target and budget

4.  Requirements

Education:  Bachelor Degree in Telecommunication Engineering or any related field

Work Experience: 0 to 3 years

5. Knowledge of:

• Telecom field
• Radio frequency tools and technologies
• Spectrum analysis technology to detect interference problems
• Google earth

6.Skills in: 

• Network Performance Management: Performance management tools, Network Performance optimization, Performance Management process, Service Performance Optimization
• Network Planning: Radio Network Planning, Radio Network Infrastructure and Technologies, Radio Frequency Planning, Radio Network Planning Tools
• Vendor Management
• Good command of English language speaking and writing
• Excellent command of MS office
