The British Embassy in Amman has a vacancy for the position of Entry Clearance Assistant, Grade – A2 (L).
Purpose of the job
The main purpose of the job is to provide a high quality, efficient and non-discriminatory visa service that meets published service standards, and to provide all visa applicants with a firm fast and fair service in line with the UK Immigration Rules. UKV&I Amman is one of our busiest posts with an annual intake of approximately 80,000 applications. Working Hours and Remuneration:
The Embassy aims to offer an attractive working environment and remuneration package for this role, including: 25 days of annual leave per annum (on pro rata basis) plus 14 public holidays, on-site parking and on-site swimming pool, gymnasium, and sports facilities.
Pay is on the Embassy A2 (L) scale, with a salary of JOD 1119 per month.
There is no other allowances payable as part of this package. No accommodation and relocation expenses are payable in connection with this position.
Conditioned working hours are 37 hours per week. Standard working hours are from 08:00 to 15:30 from Sunday to Wednesday and 08:00 to 15:00 on Thursday.
