across five areas of operation, is looking for highly committed professionals wishing to make achange.IMTD’s strategic objectivesThe Information Management and Technology Department (IMTD) is a strategic enabler ofUNRWA’s programmes in Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, West Bank and Gaza. With over 30,000 staffmembers serving over 5 million Palestine refugees, the Agency’s programmes deliver directservices to the refugees in the areas of education, health, relief and social service, infrastructure
and camp improvement, and microfinance services. IMTD seeks to provide world-class
Information Management and Technology (IMT) services to UNRWA beneficiaries through secure,innovative, impactful, efficient and cost-effective solutions.

The main responsibilities include:• Establishing and managing online repositories of IT Project Management documents andsetting up project files. Including the use of established project management tools andprocedures to update all Project Management Office (PMO) document repositories;• Providing support and administrative services to the PMO, including but not limited to:compiling and distributing project related reports, preparing for meetings, checkingdocuments for accuracy and compliance, drafting communication material, collating requestedinformation in coordination with field offices, and responding to general Project Managementqueries. This entails the use of technology and electronic systems and tools to initiate work,sharing information with colleagues, clients, partners and external stakeholders;• Providing advice, guidance, and training where applicable to support adoption of ProjectManagement methods, software, procedures, processes and tools and adherence to policiesand standards as set out by the Head, Project Management Office; drafting guidance materialfor Project Management tools and processes;Information Management and Technology• Analyzing data and information to facilitate monitoring and evaluation of project activities toinstitutionalize and disseminate knowledge;• Supporting the review and improvement of Project Management documents as per theframeworks and guidance established by the Project Management Office (PMO);• Managing, configuring and administrating the Enterprise Project Management (EPM) softwaresolution (creating project sites, assigning licenses, and monitoring the progress); providingnecessary support on the governance of the EPM and training to project teams on the use ofthe system.To qualify for this position, you will need:Education A university degree from an accredited educational institution in computerscience or business administration with emphasis on computer-related studiesand/or information technology;Formal training in project management techniques.WorkexperienceFour years of relevant experience in designing, planning, and managingprojects;Three years of experience in Information and Communication Technology (ICT)project environment/context;Good level of knowledge in project management principles and methodologies,in addition to project scheduling and monitoring tools.Language(s) Very good command of written and spoken English and Arabic.Desirable qualifications• Project Management certification–PRINCE2 Foundation Certification or equivalent.• Certification in IT industry standards and/or best practices (i.e. ITIL etc.).EquivalencyWhen the minimum requirements are not fully met, the Director of Human Resources mayexceptionally substitute part of the unmet requirements with a combination of relevant academicqualifications, additional professional training and progressive relevant work experience.NB: Work experience alone or formal qualifications with no relevant work experience are notconsidered an acceptable combination.You will also need to demonstrate the following competencies:UN Core Values of Professionalism, Integrity and Respect for Diversity and Core Competenciesof Communication, Working with People and Drive for Results apply by default.• Applying Technical Expertise• Analyzing• Planning and Organizing• Following Instructions and Procedures• Learning and ResearchingFor guidance on how to prepare for competency-based interviews: https://careers.un.org/lbw/home.aspx?viewtype=AYIConditions of service 919الراتب الاساسي
Monthly basic salary JD 919.80 plus special occupation allowance of 17.83% of the basicsalary.
