The King Hussein Foundation/ Institute For Family Health is looking to recruit an Optometrist (Fixed Term Project).

First Vacant Location: Karak .

Second Vacant Location: Irbid .

Third Vacant Location: Zarqa

Job Purpose:

Examine the cases utilizing specialized optometry equipment to diagnose, treat, and monitor visual system abnormalities.

Major Responsibilities:

 – Determine the type of prescription lenses and their strength.

 – Educate patients in order for them to grasp their medical condition.

 – Submit technical reports to the direct supervisor in the subject of managing visual impairments.

– Give advice in eye surgery and laser surgery.

 – Contribute to other Institute programs such as free medical days and clinic support.

 – Consider the medical and psychosocial elements of patient care.

 – Participate in health promotion and illness prevention activities.

 – Participation in administrative meetings, courses, and continuing education.

 – Carry out any other tasks and responsibilities assigned to by direct manager that fall within your area of expertise.

Requirements:

  – Bachelor’s degree in optometry. Minimum diploma certificate.

  – (2-3) years minimum experience.

 – Having the license to practice the profession of Optometrist from Jordanian Ministry of Health.

Skills & Abilities:

– Good awareness of preparation reports either in English or Arabic.

– Good Knowledge of the use and operation of medical equipment in one’s field of specialization

– CPR course (knowledge of first aid procedures)

– Good computer skills ( Ms Office) specially Excel.

– Good communication skills.

Language Requirements:

– Excellent English & Arabic communication skills (both oral and written).

Job Purpose:

Examine the case using special hearing testing devices, determine the level of hearing and the extent to which hearing aids are required, write case reports, and submit them to the direct supervisor.

Major Responsibilities:

 – Examination of patients with hearing difficulties by special devices
 – Determine the patient’s hearing level and the extent to which hearing aids are required.
 – Identify the type and power of hearing aids.
 – Provide the Instruction on how to use hearing aids, install, remove, change, and maintain batteries
 – Submit technical hearing therapy reports to the direct supervisor.
 – Maintenance of work-related devices, hearing aids, and sound isolation room
 – Using and developing occupational safety and health tools and methods
 – Create the audio diagrams required for references.
 – Submit periodic reports to the direct manager and discuss them in meetings on a regular basis.
  – Participation in administrative meetings, courses, and continuing education.
 – Carry out any other tasks and responsibilities assigned to by direct manager that fall within your area of expertise.

Requirements:
