Purpose & Overall Relevance For The OrganizationResponsible for the financial health of adidas Levant in-terms of accurate book-keeping and thorough financial analysis to ensure quality reporting, high control measures and decision support that mitigate risks & exploit opportunities. To work closely with senior leadership team and act as a partner with GM in taking financial decisions that support the achievements of company’s objectives in terms of enduring profitability for Levant. To produce financial reports and develop financial strategies based on company performance and objectives. To act as the Legal Representative of adidas Jordan that also manages the office to allow the team to live adidas culture with high performance aspiration.Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate all strategic decisions connected with business with regular MIS, financial analysis & feasibility studies. Prepare budgets, quarterly forecasts, SBPs & related comments and challenge abnormalities in results while measuring progress on own KPIs. To evaluate and report on deviations of departmental authorized budget
  • Timely & accurate monthly closing of accounts according to the company’s policies and facilitating external & internal audits. Authorize payments related to Finance & validate all payments.
  • Implement an effective credit control system in the organization and Manage treasury functions & relationship with bankers. Actively steer the process of managing the CACC target – vendor management, cost-cutting initiatives, process efficiencies
  • Oversee legal & corporate legislation requirements of the company
  • Handling ICS self-assessment process in Levant (previously GCSA) by implementing and testing all communicated controls for all departments. To actively monitor risks and opportunities and ensure a strong internal control environment in the organization
  • Proactively promote effective internal financial control to mitigate the risk of fraud and error.Personnel
  • To staff most suitable persons in direct report positions.
  • To coach, train & motivate towards development of team
  • To set personnel objectives, targets, guidelines and assess direct and indirect reports.
  • To develop the functional, methodological, interpersonal and personnel skills of direct reports on the job and off the job by trainings.
  • To manage staff of Finance as a team.Key Relationships
    • Retail, Sales, SCM, Marketing, HR, External parties.KPIs
  • OpOH, CAPEX, DSO, overdue receivables, CACC, payables , bad debt provision and inventory allowance
  • All statutory and legal reporting requirements met
  • Budget compliance
  • Forecasting accuracy
  • Successful implementation of Area Emerging Markets initiatives
  • Reliable financial feasibility analysisRequisite Education And Experience / Minimum Qualifications
  • CA/CPA/ACCA/CIMA qualified strongly preferred
  • University degree in business with corporate finance, financial accounting, mgt accounting
  • Functional:> 7 years
  • Industry: ideally apparel/fashion/shoes or FMCG
  • Leadership: >3 years
  • Exposure: Corporate law, audit (not mandatory), tax/banking (will be an advantage)IT Skills
  • Outlook : Advanced

  • SAP : Basic
  • BI/Grape : AdvancedLanguage Skills
