Vacancy Description Salary : starts at JOD 900, plus 2 months bonus, Terminal Gratuity, Medical Insurance and Social Security. Location : Amman , Jordan. Duration : 2 years renewable at the discretion of the British Council Jordan. working hours : 38.50 working hours per week . Restrictions : Jordanian or have a valid work permit/residency. Closing Date : 25 October 2016.
Purpose of job:
This post is a multi-focus position that is responsible for business development of the British Council projects’ portfolio, as well as leading on certain grant funded British Council project portfolios. The business development arm of the post aims to identify, pursue and win donor funded project — whether on a full cost recovery basis or on a partnership basis – that enable BC Jordan to deliver larger programmes and thus increase our impact and income. A significant part of this post is focused on the proposal development process, alongside the as the pursuit process. As such, the incumbent will be required to develop concept notes, support or lead on in-country proposals, secure local partners, etc. Additionally and to ensure that our business development process is market relevant, the post holder will be required to lead on sectorial and business development related research projects; mapping, desk research, primary and secondary data collection, analysis, reporting. The successful incumbent must be experienced in log frames and theory of change across our areas of intervention; education, TVET, civil society and good governance, and youth focused programming.
Qualifications : University degree or equivalent .
Experience : At least 3 years of Full Cost Recovery business management: pursuit & income generation role and responsibility
