Community Mobilizers – Irbid
Action Against Hunger is an international non-governmental organization working in more than 40 countries in the fields of nutrition, food security and livelihoods, water sanitation and hygiene, and care practices. ACF is looking for its program in Jordan for Community Mobilizers.
Work place: Irbid, Jordan
Monthly Gross Salary Range: 665 JOD
Specific Objectives:
To manage the operation and administration for the food security activities component to improve food access of vulnerable households through domestic production in Irbid and Jerash.
Objective 1: Collect information and data on food security and livelihood
Activities:
- Carry out household surveys and skills assessment with the support of MEAL department;
- Participate actively in initial training sessions;
- Ensure coherence of collected information ;
- Report any problems and constraints ;
- Propose possible improvements.
Objective 2: Carry out training/mobilizing/organizing activities
Activities:
- Identify local capacities in the districts;
- Prepare needs for the training sessions;
- Organize and facilitate the training sessions with the communities in coordination with the HoP;
- Apply the defined methodologies (development, duration, number of participants etc.) in coordination with the HoP;
- Check the lessons learnt;
- Ensure community participation in the activity and help in equipment delivery to beneficiaries
- Keep the HoP informed of the activities, problems and success;
- Propose possible improvements.
Objective 3: Communicate the Organization’s activities and objectives to the community
Activities:
- Explain the project’s activities and objectives to the population;
Represent the Organization in meetings with the beneficiaries.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Academic Background
Bachelor university degree within the field of management sciences, business or any other related qualifications
Personal requirements:
Good organizational skill – Previous experience in humanitarian INGO- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- Good team spirit.
