Title: Primary Mechanic Specialist
Position Identification:
– Position Label : Primary Mechanics Specialist
– WG : 4
– Function : Tobacco Processing (Primary)
Position Purpose :
The incumbent is responsible to ensure that Maintenance is planned and executed at regular bases to meet / exceed production requirements, he/she is also responsible for identifying required spare parts.
He/she is a member of Primary Production team (focusing on mechanical maintenance and improvements) through effective analysis, troubleshooting and problem solution techniques. He/she ensure collaborations with related functions (internally and externally) to keep improving product quality, factory processes and operations.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience required :
– Education :University degree or equivalent
– Work Experience : Minimum 3 years experience in tobacco industry (preferred), or 8 years in FMCG industry.
– Language Skills : Basic in oral and written English. Local language (Arabic) is beneficial

Main Areas Of Responsibility :
Contribution to FPQS TP KPIs
– Execute action plans relating to department KPIs assigned by superior
– Provide feedbacks and suggestions for superior any improvements
– Report timely to superior for department KPIs and activities
List of Standard Tasks (not limited to)
-Plan and execute Primary production line
– Plan and follw-up on required spare parts
– Identify and reduce tobacco spillages in the Primary
-Troubleshoot and fix issues as they arise during production targeting timely effective issue resolution
-Responsible for continuity of the technological process by operating in terms and correct and timely diagnosis of problems
– Participate in activities to clean machinery and production department work area
– Perform preventive/corrective maintenance and develops necessary parts
Continuous Improvement
– Actively participate continuous improvement activities in the factory
– Openly communicate to superiors for any improvement opportunities
– Submit improvement suggestions according to local/global procedures
Compliance to Policies & Procedures and Regulations
– Comply global/regional/local Safety policies & procedures, regulatory requirements
– Comply with ISO9001. OHSAS18001, ISO14001, ISO 50001
– Openly initiate dialogues with person not comply with JTI policies & procedures
– Comply department/team processes, policies and procedures
– Contractor safety is the responsibility of the JTI employee who supervising the ongoing work.
– Adhere SAP and PLM processes, JTI’s business systems
– Comply to JTI Code of Conduct
Support and Collaborations
– Support JT Group factories as needed/requested
– Provide necessary information to related functions (globally, locally) in timely manner
– Attend and actively contribute to factory meeting
