1- Technical Youth Assistant – Amman
Roles and Responsibilities:
NRC enables youth to strengthen their personal, social and economic resilience by participating in a structured educational programme that offers pathways towards social engagement, livelihoods, and further education. The programme supports youth to transition from acquiring skills, to applying skills in professional or community contexts, to accessing employment or
volunteering opportunities. The Host Community Youth Programme operates in northern Jordan, primarily supporting communities in the north. The Youth Technical Assistant will contribute to the daily activities of providing support to new
Community Based Organisations in central and southern Jordan, to enhance participation of and services available to youth in Host Communities in Jordan.
Generic responsibilities:
  • Adhere to NRC policies, tools, handbooks and guidelines.
  • Assist a range of support with the implementation of the Core Competency portfolio according to plan of action.
  • Implements independently procedures and activities within own function or core competency as delegated.
  • Responsible for organizing and delivery of tasks in line with priorities and standards.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of the specialist area of work in which technical assistance and support is being provided, in order to be most effective in supporting the team.
  • Use initiative in day to day problem solving in line with agreed procedures, priorities and standards for the area of work.
  • Prepare and develop status reports as required by management.
  • Ensure proper filing of documents.
  • Promote and share ideas for improvement in your area of expertise.
  • Actively promote PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) standards & principles within NRC and amongst beneficiaries served by NRC.
    Specific responsibilities
  • Assists project team to carry out local needs assessment including profiling of CBOs and youth agencies, and identifying gaps in support of youth in the project area.
  • Supports the Team Leader in the whole process of CBO capacity building and subgrant implementation.
  • Conducts training to CBO staff on use of the project Information Management System.
  • Supports CBOs to ensure appropriate monitoring, documentation and reporting of activities according to subgrant requirements.
  • Supports the Team Leader in assessing the technical and organisational capacity among selected CBOs
  • Supports selected CBOs in outreach and mobilisation of Youth Champions.
  • Monitors capacity building activities and submits field reports of regular CBO visits.
  • Travel to CBOs which may be quite far distant from the duty station is an essential part of the role.
Our Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for a candidate with a Vocational/Tawjihi degree or equivalent, 2 years of experience, Knowledge of the context of refugees in Jordan relevant to NRC activities (Essential), Flexibility and willingness to adapt to fluctuating demands; Native Arabic skills and proficiency in English language skills. Experience in preparing reports and basic data entry, Experience in information management, project monitoring and documentation is a benefit (Desirable). Experience working with local Community Based Organisations (Desirable), Capacity Building experience.
We are particularly looking for a positive individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills, who can build trust and confidently navigate both internally and externally at different levels, to have the ability to analyze data and trends for informed decisions and Capacity building skills.

2-  Regional Training Coordinator – Middle East
Overview
The Middle East Regional Office based in Amman, Jordan was created in January 2014 as part of NRC’s reorganization process.  We currently have more than 3,000 staff in the Middle East region assisting people displaced by conflict in Syria, Libya Iraq, Lebanon, Jordan and Palestine.  Our work is concentrated on the shelter, education, food security, legal assistance and water, sanitation and hygiene sectors with strong protection and resilience focus integrated into our programs.
NRC operations is in the Middle East have grown significantly in recent years and further growth is expected in the months to come. With large operations in such fluid contexts, the NRC Middle East Regional Office has a stimulating and rewarding work environment, a collaborative workforce and genuine place of passion responding to a region in crisis.
In order to ensure that NRC has a skilled workforce with the skills required to fulfill our organizational objectives, our Learning and Development team provides professional development opportunities for staff. This includes a full induction, skills trainings, and other developmental resources and opportunities. The Regional Training Coordinator role is dedicated to supporting delivery of these services in the Middle East Region in collaboration with the Country Offices.
Role and responsibilities
1- Responsible to coordinate and conduct NRC Way 2-day trainings according to set timelines for all staff in the region in close cooperation with experts and NRC Way Trainers.
2- Responsible for coordinating Talent Development Programme (TDP) 2019 induction and training, in close cooperation with Middle East Regional Office HR.
3- In close cooperation with HO HR to plan, coordinate and implement other trainings needed for Middle East Regional Office.
4- Plan and coordinate new training initiatives from HQ and the Middle East Regional Office Region.
5- Responsible for planning and coordinating the monitoring, follow up, documentation and evaluation of the different staff development initiatives in the Middle East Regional Office region.
6- Coordination of other staff development initiatives as agreed by the Middle East Regional Office Regional Management Team.
7- Responsible for planning and implementing the Middle East Regional Office Annual Training Plan in close cooperation with Area Managers, Heads of Department, and Country Directors.
8- Responsible for coordinating Talent Development Programme (TDP) 2019 induction and training, in close cooperation with Middle East Regional Office HR.
9- Arrange ToT trainings and facilitate within Middle East Regional Office to strengthen training and capacity building initiatives.
Our Ideal Candidate:
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience as facilitator and/or trainer, in addition to a good level of experience and motivation to administering and organizing training process.

3-  Technical ICLA Legal Officer – Jerash “Nationals Only”
Established in 2012 NRC Jordan’s long-term outlook addresses the problems affecting life as a refugee. We work to build the resilience of Syrians, and to relieve the impact on the Jordanian communities that host them.  Syrian refugees in Jordan are struggling. As they contend with difficult living conditions across the country, the obstacles are complex. They struggle to remain registered as refugees, to provide for their families, and to access essential services – including education for their children. The Jordanian communities that host them, meanwhile, feel the impact of hosting high numbers of refugees – with each year that passes, local infrastructure becomes more strained.
Role Specific Information

The Technical Legal Officer is responsible to provide proper legal support to ICLA beneficiaries,
including through counselling and further legal actions.

  • Conduct legal research and analysis when necessary and developing training materials
  • Coordination with partners and legal aid providers, including joint case management of cases.
  • Other tasks required by ICLA Coordinator .
Our Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for a university graduate in Law with previous experience. Experience working in complex and volatile contexts and experience from working within technical expertise area in a humanitarian/ recovery context. Valid license from the Jordanian Bar Association and to have knowledge of the displacement context in Jordan. Extensive knowledge of Jordanian legal system and practice and Background in housing, land and property law, and/or foreigners’ legal status law and/or civil documentation law and/or labour law considered a strong advantage. Knowledge of Sharia law and its application in Jordan considered an advantage. Native fluency in Arabic and Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
