1-  Education Team Leader “Nationals Only”
Role Specific Information
The role of the education team leader is to develop, coordinate and oversee the implementation of training sessions aimed at building the capacity of school personnel in the topics of general maintenance and basic facilities management. The team leader will also provide management and technical expertise to a team of officers and/or service providers delivering the trainings, as well as providing technical support to staff personnel following the training and for the duration of the project.
Generic responsibilities:
  •  Management of project staff.
  • Implement plan of action for delegated portfolio of Core Competency projects (activities, budget and project documentation).
  • Day to day follow of progress in project implementation.
  • Ensure compliance with NRC policies, Core Competency tools, handbooks and guidelines
  • Ensure that projects target beneficiaries most in need, and explore and asses new and better ways to assist.
  • Promote and share ideas for technical improvement.
  • Prepare periodic progress reports and other documents.
  • Ensure capacity building of project staff and transfer of key skills.
  • Liaison and collaborate with relevant local authorities and stakeholders.
  • Promote the rights of internally displaced/returnees in line with the advocacy strategy.
  • Actively promote PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) standards & principles within NRC and amongst beneficiaries served by NRC.
Specific responsibilities:
  • Develop training material, manuals and toolkits. The training will aim at building the capacity of school personnel in the areas of general maintenance and basic facilities operation and management.
  • Manage a team of trainers/consultants to deliver the training sessions.
  • Coordinate project activities with the different stakeholders including schools, directorates of education and donors/partners.
  • Provide technical support to school personnel in the areas of facilities operation and general maintenance.
  • Act as the lead trainer in training sessions and in training of trainers.
  • Coordinate and oversee the logistical operations related to the provision of trainings.
Our Ideal Candidate:
We’re looking for a highly motivated person that has the passion towards the humanitarian sector, a university graduate in Bachelor degree vocational education, facility management or other related topic. Has minimum Four years of experience in a similar field. Our ideal candidate must have exceptional management and training skills.
We are particularly looking for a positive individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills, , have great deal of coordination with multiple parties, who can build trust and confidently navigate both internally and externally at different levels. Must be detail oriented, well organized and planned.

Additional Information:
Contract period: Through to 30 June 2019
Salary/benefits: 1347 JOD (subject to social security and Income tax)

2- Youth Officer “Nationals Only”
Roles and Responsibilities:
The Youth Officer is responsible for the daily supervision, planning and implementation of NRC Youth Programme at site level; Incentive based volunteers (IBVs) management, and liaising with stakeholders as delegated.
Generic responsibilities:
  • Ensure adherence with NRC policies, tools, handbooks and guidelines.
  • Implement delegated Core Competency project portfolio according to plan of action.
  • Prepare and develop status reports as required by management.
  • Ensure proper filing of documents.
  • Ensure that projects target beneficiaries most in need, and explore and asses new and better ways to assist.
  • Promote and share ideas for technical improvement.
  • Actively promote PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) standards & principles within NRC and amongst beneficiaries served by NRC.
    Specific responsibilities
  • Under the supervision of the Youth Coordinator, handle and support the planning and the implementation of Youth Programme activities at site-level, adhering to NRC quality standards and guidelines.
  • Supervise, assign tasks and give instructions to incentive based volunteers (IBVs), specify their individual work plans and evaluate individuals performance.
  • Identify, analyze and inform key processes and gaps in the implementation of the activities and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensure task distribution for key processes/events, e.g. outreach, registration, exams, graduation, innovation lab activities.
  • Represent NRC Youth Programme at community gatherings on Youth/Education, in addition to other working groups (WGs) as delegated by the Youth Coordinator.
  • Prepare monthly reports on site activities, and ensure M&E correctly conducted and reported.
  • Liaise with Site Operations Officer on stock management procedures and material requests, in coordination with the Youth Coordinator.
  • Identify capacity building needs through HR processes. Advise Youth Coordinator on capacity building needs and opportunities for IBVs.
Our Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for a candidate with a College/diploma degree or equivalent, with 2 years of experience.
We are particularly looking for a positive individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills, who can build trust and confidently navigate both internally and externally at different levels, to have the ability to analyze data and trends for informed decisions and Capacity building skills.
In this position, you will join highly motivated and expert staff who are making a difference to the most vulnerable people in the world’s biggest displacement crisis.
