1- Supply Associate – Amman

About the role
Supreme Customer Service is fundamental at Careem, and we want to wow our Captains (drivers) every time! The purpose of the Supply Associate role is to assist the local Operations teams in doing just that. You will be responsible for making bold decisions and working in an agile way in order to deliver a first class service working in a multi-skilled position across 3 different areas of the Training, Captain Support Peak Management. This role involves working on a shift basis that will include some weekend work. Key responsibilities include:
  • Always be CAREEM to captains
  • OWN one of five key functions: quality management, captain on-boarding, supplier relations, peak management, captain happiness
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure the meeting of KPIs during a shift
  • Brainstorm ideas and critically re-think every process, all the time
  • Always being there for captains and colleagues

3-   General Manager CareemPay
Job Overview:

As a GM CareemPay, you will be responsible for leading the CareemPay’s business in Jordan.

Responsibilities:

  • P&L responsibility (Country level)
  • Stakeholder management: Lead discussions and manage relationships with the regulator, other govt. agencies, bank and commercial partners
  • Leadership: Build and manage a team locally
  • Strategy and execution plans: Build the market entry and growth strategy and the associated execution plan
  • Commercial: Work with Captain/Customer Experience teams to lead market segmentation, idea products and work with Product Development to implementation products
  • Technology: Work with Product Development and Engineering on owning/co-owning the technology stack and ensure development and evolution of technology platforms are in line with requirements and in compliance with local regulations
  • Operations: Setup and ongoing management of operations
  • Compliance and risk management: Ensure full compliance with local laws and regulations and anticipate future requirements. Build and manage required risk management (including fraud) capabilities
Qualifications/Skills required:
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or Business
  • Highly entrepreneurial and hands-on – ability to get things done by rolling up his/her sleeves and with minimal resources. Highly adaptable and ability to find practical solutions.
  • Strong leadership skills – ability to build and lead teams to move fast
  • Stakeholder management – strong negotiation skills and ability to influence at all levels
  • Sound understanding of local market trends and needs – commercial acumen to spot opportunities and convert ideas into products
  • Sound understanding of revenue and cost drivers
  • Ability to balance strategic, commercial and operational considerations in assessing options and arriving at recommendations
  • Strong understanding of the payments ecosystem and appreciation of new technologies
  • Strong commercial negotiations skills
  • Strong communications and interpersonal skills
