Training & Consultancy Sr. Manager

Job Description and Requirements

Reporting directly to the Director of Training & Consultancy, he/she will oversee all aspects related to the Training & Consultancy department’s daily activities as well as executive strategic planning and management.

The Training & Consultancy division was established based on over 20 years of on the ground experience gained in the field of Child Safety, Community Empowerment and Handicrafts related initiatives.  Initially operating as the implementation arm of programs and projects, the division has developed into a full service regional Training and Consultancy Center employing full time qualified trainers and offering a diverse array of specialized services including but not limited to direct trainings, awareness sessions, workshops, training facilities and external consultancies of proven models and methodology.

The requirement is for an experienced senior level individual with the drive, knowledge and capability of taking the training and consultancy division to yet another level in the MENA region and market repositioning as a revenue generating center.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • General management and development of the Training & Consultancy department with the objective of ensuring efficient operations including structure, policies and procedures.
  • Work directly with Director of Training & Consultancy in order to develop and execute organizational level strategies and initiatives.
  • Work closely with the Business Development unit to finalize business planning and implementation thereafter.
  • Collaborate with the Program Managers and Development Department in order to secure new donors and clients; ensuring efficient delivery of services, sharing of information and technical support.
  • Develop and manage an annual budget that is adequately forecasted and realistic.
  • Direct, plan and coordinate the work of the department staff including supervision, evaluation, training and team building.
  • Represent the Organization in various strategic forums in a positive manner.
  • Continuous product, trainer and service analysis to ensure up-to-date status of course content, training material, methodology, and trainer competency.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 12 years of experience, out of which at least 7 years of management experience or in a leadership role.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, (Master’s Degree preferred).
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and writing skills in Arabic and English.
  • Proven ability to build, lead and execute organizational strategy in a cross-functional environment.
  • Previous work experience in the field of training and consulting within the private sector.  (Additional experience in development industry a plus)
  • Background in child safety and protection as well as community empowerment related work preferred.
  • At least 12 years of experience, out of which at least 7 years of management experience or in a leadership role.
